MEET THE FOUNDER
The Woman Behind the Rainbow
Horacia “RainbowLady” Burks is a woman of deep faith and an unwavering love for children. For over 13 years, she has dedicated her life to nurturing young people in Mississippi through mentorship, the arts, dance, and Christian values.
Her vision was simple yet profound: every child who feels unseen, unheard, or unloved deserves someone who believes in them. That conviction became the heartbeat of The Promise Christian Academy.
Known throughout the community as “RainbowLady,” Horacia embodies the message she teaches — that life is richer, more vibrant, and more hopeful when we invest in our children. Like a rainbow after the storm, she brings color and joy to lives that need it most.

April 18, 2026 — Hundreds gather at Greenville Mall for the Believe Children Empowerment Festival, celebrating 13+ years of impact and launching the next chapter of the movement.
